David Cook Snaphance

This gun was being built for a very dear friend when he died.  The gun was finished 15 years ago except carving.  Last year I added the carving and truly finished the gun. For 35 years I worked as a Wood Die Model Maker for the auto industry.  Gun making is a hobby that I started 1958 and I just made what I liked or needed.  Now and then I made one for friends and family as a gifts.  I do not engrave that was done by Joe Rundell a good friend. The lock was assembled from Rifle Shoppe Castings of an antique.
