Imitation Wampum Bag by Josh Brevik

Imitation (glass) wampum used to make bags, belts and and other objects of adornment was a trade item that was used for these articles. Glass or imitation wampum reached its peak in adornment usage in the last quarter of the 18th century among native peoples of the northeast.
